At 7 years of age, Wylie learned to sing in his Uncle Donnie's church on Fulton St and Ralph in Brooklyn NY. Wylie's mother, herself a Gospel singer was the oldest, having 13 siblings, all Pastors, Preachers, or Deacons. So, it seems fitting that at the age of 7 and 8, Wylie, was the lead singer at many of the Church's revivals.
Growing up, Wylie sang at family gatherings. Between the ages 13 and sixteen, Wylie sang at Graduations, Weddings and Parties. For a short time, Wylie was employed to serenade women for their birthdays and other romantic occasions.
At the age of 17, Wylie began song writing for friends and singing with a live band at Brooklyn's Dean Street Cafe (Two Steps Down). In 2009, Wylie worked with Oran "Juice" Jones, and Vincent Bell of Triflin Records. This relationship eventually lead to Wylie being a feature on two albums. (Walked In On You (feat. China Black), from the Triflin Records 2009 album Fruits of the Game)
Wylie found inspiration in such artists as Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Aaron Hall, New Edition and Tony Teri. But the driving force for his inspiration came from his sister, Kathy McLeod. While poverty was a constant feature in Wylie's life, music proved to be a relaxing influence, making tough times bearable.
In the year 2012 Wylie met Dez McKinzie, through a mutual friend. In August of that same year, that collaboration produced the track "Did Me A Favor". Wylie chararcterizes that event as a major breakthrough. For the first time in a long time, Wylie felt that he was part of something new, pioneering a 'new' sound. The hunger to produce his own music resurfaced, A door, once thought shut forever was reopened.
With his new found focus, Wylie set to doing what it is does, song writing. October 12th, Wylie recorded "Her Fantasy". This is his first song, from beginning to end...
